School Board in Action
Aldine school board members are outstanding volunteers and champions for public education. They provide a passionate voice of advocacy for public schools and the welfare of school children.
Trustees have many responsibilities. Those responsibilities include setting policy, approving employee contracts, choosing curriculum and adopting an annual operating budget.
The school board works closely with parents, education professionals and community members. The collaboration helps board members create the educational vision we want for our students. As such, the board formulates goals and defines results. It sets the course for an adequate and equitable educational program for all students.
As busy as these individuals are, it is not unusual to see them at school and district functions. They do so because they support Aldine students, staff members and the district as a whole.
