Nondiscrimination Policy
ALDINE ISD STATEMENT OF NONDISCRIMINATION
It is the policy of Aldine ISD not to discriminate or engage in harassment on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, or any other legally protected status in its educational and vocational programs, services or activities or matters related to employment as required by Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; Age Discrimination in Employment Act; Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.
This policy also prohibits retaliation against an individual who has made a good faith report of unlawful, discriminatory practices, opposed any unlawful, discriminatory practices or participated in an investigation of any complaint related to an unlawful, discriminatory practice.

ALDINE ISD STATEMENT OF NONDISCRIMINATION IN CTE PROGRAMS
The Aldine Independent School District offers career and technical education courses in the following areas; agriculture food, & natural resources, architectural and construction, Arts, a/v technology and communications, business management and administration, education and training, finance, health science, hospitality and tourism, human services, information technology, law public safety corrections and security, manufacturing, marketing, sales and services, science technology engineering and mathematics (stem) and transportation, distribution and logistics and exploring careers. Admission to these programs is based on ability, aptitude, interest, grade level and class size. It is the policy of the Aldine Independent School District not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, or handicap in its vocational programs, services, or activities as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.
