Student Transfers
Student transfer applications are requests for students grade PK-12 to attend a campus, other than a Choice School , to which they are not zoned.
Students who are currently on a transfer will be automatically renewed if they:
- Reside In-District AND
- Returning to same campus next year AND
- Transfer has not been revoked for current or next year

Important Points
- Transportation is NOT provided to transfer students and must be provided by the parent or guardian of a student on an approved transfer.
- Transfer students must abide by the Student Code of Conduct. The principal may revoke the transfer for serious or persistent misconduct, and will revoke the transfer for any offense resulting in removal to a discipline alternative education campus.
- A transfer may be revoked for a documented pattern of late arrivals, late pick-ups, and/or poor attendance.
- Any falsification of information shall cause this application for transfer to be denied and/or revoked. In addition, falsification of documents or records is a criminal offense and subject to fines under Section 37.10 Penal Code.
- Approval of a transfer does not guarantee UIL varsity athletic eligibility.
Transfer Reasons
Transfers for the following reasons may be considered. Meeting the criteria does not guarantee approval.
Children of Aldine ISD Employee
- Full-time Aldine ISD Employees may transfer their children to their current Aldine ISD worksite OR closest available campus to worksite.
Change of Residence: Remain at current campus
- This transfer reason is available only for the school year in which an address change occurs.
Junior/Senior Transfer
- Current 11th and 12th graders who move outside the campus attendance zone may request to stay at the campus through graduation.
Serious Medical or Psychological Health Condition
- Documentation on official letterhead from an appropriate licensed medical or mental health professional supporting the need for the transfer is required and must include a license number and signature. Sufficient documentation should describe the nature, severity of the condition, and impact on the student’s education.
School Safety
- Victim of persistent and ongoing bullying (campus documentation required)
- Victim of physical assault (documentation required)
- The Executive Director of School Administration, in collaboration with Campus Administration, determine that documented unresolved student conflicts exist on campus that cannot be addressed at the home campus.
Siblings of Students with Special Needs
- If a student is assigned to a school outside his or her attendance zone in order to receive special education services, any student residing in the same household may transfer to the same school.
Public Education Grant (PEG)
- Students who are zoned to attend a campus with any unacceptable performance rating may request a transfer.
Space Available Inter-District Transfer
- An Out of District student may request a transfer. Transfers approved on a space-available basis will be granted for one regular school year at a time. The transfer request must be renewed each year.
Hardship Transfer
- A student may request an intra-district transfer to a school outside the assigned attendance zone based on hardship, such as supervision before or after school or daycare transportation needs.
Denial of Transfers
Reasons for denying a transfer include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Requested campus is at capacity or requires the employment of additional staff
- Record of poor attendance, late arrivals, early pick-ups, or disciplinary infractions
- For the purpose of participating in an extra-curricular activity at receiving campus
- Falsification of information
- Failure to meet deadlines
- Failure to meet district criteria for a transfer
- Previous assignment to a Discipline Alternative Education Program
- Any felony or misdemeanor criminal conviction
- Revocation of a previous transfer
